Operating Range
The transceiver operates on 434MHz with 10mW of RF power. Using Elsema’s ANT433S-SMA antenna it is possible to get up to 2 Km line of sight communications. This range can be doubled by configuring an extra MCTR43404R as a repeater. A 60mm antenna is provided for free with all MCTR series transceivers and can be used for short range applications, less than 80 metres.

Supply
The transceiver can be connected to either AC or DC. The power supply has built-in protections against surges, transients and power failures. Even if there is a power failure on one transceiver the built-in handshake acknowledgments will ensure that the transceivers inputs and outputs are returned to the same state as before the power failure. Connecting an Elsema BACH12 or BACH24 battery charger to the power supply will allow you to connect a battery or solar power for backup supply. The transceivers are rated to operate continuously in harsh environments.
