770mm x 100mm pressure pad that is activated by the weight of a person in bed. The sensor pad is installed in the bed, under the mattress but on top of the base mattress. An alarm is activated when the individual attempts to leave the bed. This alarm trigger is detected by the control unit supplied with the SENSOMAT MATTRESS which gives an audible and visible alarm. The controller also provides an output to connect to an existing emergency or nurse call system.

Not recommended for beds with a wire base mattress as the internal wiring of the pressure mat may be damaged. For this type of bed use our Sensomat Bed pad which is placed on top of the mattress.

If an existing call bell system is not available, the controller may be used as a stand alone device to provide a local alarm or a SENSOTROL WIRELESS may be used to indicate an alarm. SENSOTROL WIRELESS is a small wireless alarm controller that the SENSOMAT MATTRESS controller plugs into. This small controller alerts staff within a 50m radius via an audible alarm when the system is activated.

The SENSOMAT MATTRESS is available in several kit forms for different applications. Extension and adaptor leads are available to enable the alarm controller to be used on most existing nurse call systems.

The SENSOMAT MATTRESS should always be stored flat and never be folded or rolled. The SENSOMAT may be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. Not suitable for use with incontinent patients.
