About Us

Kiatronics Ltd is part of a family of companies under the Welten Holdings Ltd umbrella. Welten Holdings was established in May 2000 with a view to establish a range of services for entrepreneurial companies and the electronic and electrical industries. With a wealth of knowledge of all things electrical and electronic we have established a name for ourselves by providing technologically advanced systems and solutions to everyday problems faced in these industries.

In 2001 we established Mailtronics, an electronic mail order company to supply electronic components to schools, universities and other educational institutions in New Zealand. After 5 years of building this division of the business we sold it and it is still operating today based in Auckland under new ownership.

While building the mail order business we also worked on a number of developments, both for ourselves and other companies. These included clay shooting control systems and an automated levelling platform for a 30 tonne excavator. The levelling platform originally called the “SubFlex” was designed in Katikati, New Zealand and the technology has since been leased to Volvo. It is now produced under the “Level Max” Volvo brand. The ownership of the IP is still held in NZ by Level Systems Ltd, in which we have an interest. We continue to work closely with Level Systems Ltd designing new and innovative products for the forestry industry.

In 2003 we identified a need in the aged care market for integrated electronic systems and began designing new specialised product. Today we are a leading supplier of building and energy management systems, emergency call systems and information technology systems to this industry sector. We supply many accessory type products directly via our Kiatronics company and larger systems are managed and supplied through Service Manager Systems Ltd of which Welten Holdings Ltd has part ownership.

In 2006 we began research and development for a commercial fuel management system. Since 2008 we have completed extensive field trials and in 2009 launched the product on the New Zealand and Australian markets. This product is distributed through our company Fuel Management Systems Ltd based in Auckland.

Today we manufacture over 50 products for a large number of commercial customers who distribute their products both locally and internationally. We have a small development team that enables us to produce products and prototypes quickly and economically. We can manage small production runs in-house and for larger scale production we have manufacturers both locally and internationally. Our engineers provide product and hardware design, embedded firmware design and software design.

Some of the industries we are involved in are, Fuel Distribution, Water Treatment, Building and Energy Management, Emergency and Nurse Call Systems, Automatic Doors, Domestic and Commercial Elevators, Patient Protection Systems, Clay Trap Shooting Controls, Truck Weighing Systems, Information Displays, Pollination Systems, Access Control Systems, Lighting Control Systems, Forestry Harvesting and Information Transfer Systems.
